FINAL HOMES REMAINING

FINAL HOMES REMAINING is the fifth in the series of six paintings ‘SIX VISIONS OF HACKNEY WICK’ 2023-2024. The piece looks at Dace Road across the canal in Fish Island. Taking its name from the poorly chosen marketing banner on the new build flats in the area, this piece aims to contrast the light and life of the creative warehouses with the emptiness of the sterile new build apartments that now dominate the area.
